At the fair
Our first fair at Healey
We took Sticks & Giggles to the Healey Community Centre Summer Fayre for our very first fair.
On Saturday we took Sticks & Giggles to the Healey Community Centre Summer Fayre for our very first fair. The event was held in support of Healey Supported Living Service, and it felt like a lovely place for us to begin.
After all the making, planning, and practising our stall layout, it was brilliant to finally set everything out for real. Robyn's colourful sewn pieces and my bowls and pens filled the tables, ready for the doors to open.
Most of all, we loved meeting people from the local community, chatting about what we make and sharing our work. Thank you to everyone who stopped for a look or came over for a chat, and especially the organisers for making us feel so welcome.
The frog keyrings, hanging heart decorations, and big pumpkin cusions were among the day's biggest hits. The frogs proved so popular that we completely ran out, and Robyn is already making more.
